Why We Built This

Every year, millions of children across India take maths olympiads. SOF IMO alone sees over 5 million registrations. When we started looking for good preparation material for our own kids, here is what we found.

School textbooks don’t go far enough. They cover the syllabus well, but olympiad papers test application, reasoning and pattern recognition that school exams rarely touch. Coaching classes go too far in the other direction. Four to six hours a week of worksheets, at fixed timings, costing 15–30x more per year. And the printed olympiad workbooks? Hundreds of questions with minimal explanations and no way for a child to understand why an answer is wrong.

We wanted something in between. Something that teaches the concept first, lets a child play with it through an interactive activity, and then tests understanding through quizzes that feel more like a game than homework. Something where a parent doesn’t need to sit beside their child explaining every problem, because Quanta Kids does that job properly.

That is Quanta Kids. We built it for SOF IMO, SilverZone iOM, CREST CMO, UIMO and ITO IMO. Five olympiads, Classes 2–5, and enough practice papers to walk into any of these exams genuinely prepared.

What We Believe

• Understanding Beats Drilling. Twenty carefully-explained problems teach more than two hundred rushed ones. Every concept on Quanta Kids starts with a “why it works” visual and a “watch me solve” walkthrough before the child touches a single quiz question. We want them to understand the idea, not just memorise the method.
• A Child Should Own Their Progress. Our winding-path map shows kids where they’ve been and where they’re headed, designed to feel like a game. They come back to finish the next level because they want to, not because a parent had to nag them.
• Parents Deserve Honesty. Every class has a full chapter and two full practice papers open before you pay anything. No card details, no trial-that-auto-renews.
• Screens Should Serve, Not Sedate. Each session is designed around a 20–25 minute focus window. Long enough to make real progress on a concept. Short enough to leave time for the rest of childhood.

How We Build Content

Every practice paper on Quanta Kids is written from scratch by our team. We study the real olympiad papers (publicly available formats, topic distributions, difficulty patterns) and build our own questions that match the style and level. We do not scan, copy or reproduce copyrighted material from any olympiad body.

Concept lessons are illustrated with clean SVGs built specifically for that topic. No stock clip-art, no decorative clutter. If a diagram helps a child see the structure of a problem, we invest the time to build it right. If it would give away the answer, we leave it out.

Who We Are

Quanta Kids is built by IIT and ISB alumni who are also parents of primary-school children. We went through the same confusion every Indian parent faces: which olympiad to pick, how to prepare without burning the child out, and where to find material that is good enough to be worth paying for. We built what we wished existed.

We are a small, focused team. We read every message that comes in through the contact page. If you spot a mistake in a question, want to suggest a topic, or just want to say hello, we will reply.

Quanta Kids is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any olympiad organising body. We mention SOF, SilverZone, CREST, UIMO and ITO by name so that parents searching for prep material can find us. The names, formats and trademarks belong to those respective organisations. We prepare children to take their exams. We do not represent or replace any of them.
