Skip-counting is a math superpower.
It counts things in groups, finds hidden patterns, and reaches big numbers fast.
How it works
👀 What's going on?
Counting 50 coins one by one takes forever. But what if you could count them in stacks of 10?
You'll use this skill all the time:
🕒 Clocks: jumping by 5s tells the minutes on a clock.
🪙 Money: jumping by 10s counts ten-rupee coins in a flash.
✖️ Multiplication: it is the secret code that makes learning tables easy.
💡 Here's the trick
Skip-counting jumps by the same number every time, so you reach big numbers fast. Jump by 10 and you land on 10, 20, 30, where the tens climb by 1 but the ones stay 0; jump by 100 the same way for 100, 200, 300. Count by 5 from 15 and you land on 15, 20, 25, 30, adding the same 5 every hop.

Start at 40 and take three +10 jumps. Where do you land? 40 → 50 → 60 → __
⚠️ Watch out
Keep every jump the same size. Don't do this: 40 → 50 → 51 → 52 ❌. That slips back into counting by 1s.
