Money Word Problems & Change
Today's big idea
Total the bill, then change is the money paid minus the total.
Bill ₹25, pay ₹50, change ₹25.
How it works
👀 What's going on?
You buy a toy and pay with a big note. How much change comes back?
💡 Here's the trick
Add up what you buy to get the total, then the change is the money you gave minus that total.
A pen is ₹15 and a rubber is ₹10, so the total is ₹25. Pay with ₹50 and the change is 50 − 25 = ₹25.

You buy a ₹30 book and pay with ₹50. What change do you get? → ₹20.
