How it works
👀 What's going on?
Line up three towers of blocks and your eye finds the tallest at once. Ranking is just putting things in order from most to least — here, from tallest to shortest.
💡 Here's the trick
Look at the towers above. The tallest reaches the highest and the shortest is the smallest. If you are told A is taller than B, you can even rank things you cannot see, by lining up the clues.
- 1.Read whether the question wants the tallest or the shortest.
- 2.Compare the heights (or line up the clues in order).
- 3.Pick the one at the correct end of the order.
✍️ Try it
Tom is taller than Sam. Sam is taller than Ravi. Who is the shortest? Put them in order: Tom (tallest), then Sam, then Ravi. So the shortest is Ravi.
⚠️ Watch out
Do not mix up tallest and shortest. They sit at opposite ends of the order, so read the question word before you choose.
