How it works
👀 What's going on?
A jigsaw piece is missing from the picture — which piece snaps in to complete it? Good puzzlers look at the exact shape and size of the empty space, then find the piece that matches.
💡 Here's the trick
When a shape has a gap, the missing piece has the SAME shape and size as the empty space. Match the gap to the piece — not too big, not too small and the right shape.
- 1.Look at the empty gap (the dashed part).
- 2.Notice its shape — a corner, a slice, a tip? — and its size.
- 3.Pick the piece that matches the gap exactly.
✍️ Try it
A circle is missing a quarter slice. The piece that fits is a quarter pizza slice — not a half, and not a tiny sliver.
⚠️ Watch out
A piece can be the right shape but the wrong size. Check both — it must fill the gap exactly, with no overlap and no space left over.
